Dear all
We hope your preparations for your upcoming competition are going well. With over 100 competitors it is going to be a very busy weekend. Set-up for the event is set to start at 2pm Friday at the competition venue – Shalom College. Extra hands will make this process quicker for all. There will also be some additional equipment management requirements that need hands on deck before the first session on the Saturday morning, after the last session Saturday afternoon, and before the first session on Sunday.
Additionally it is an expectation that all competing athletes volunteer for at least one session throughout the duration of the event to ensure the competition runs smoothly.

For your convenience you will find the Final entries list and competition information attached so that you can work out which session suits you best. Technical official roles require a minimum of a club level referee qualification. To gain this minimum level of qualification you can easily do the free online training prior to the event: You will find the training here: Australian Weightlifting Federation > EDUCATION Select Technical Officials
Uniform for TO’s is white shirt, navy pants/skirt, black shoes and a navy jacket.
If you are nominating for computer it is preferred that you have acted in this role previously.
Loaders need to wear closed in shoes, and either a QWA or Oly Voly shirt in preference.
The event will be live streamed by Brent Vaughan.
There will be 8 platforms in the warm-up area – you may like to plan ahead and arrange who you will share with in your session.
Reminder that all QWA endorsed competitions are subject to anti-doping testing as organised by SIA. You can complete free online Anti-doping training via the SIA website to learn more about this: Courses – Fundamentals (only needs to be done the once) + Yearly update (every year).eLearning course overview | Sport Integrity Australia

- Photo ID and starting weights are compulsory at weigh-in
- Remember to check that the Weigh-in staff deduct 250g from your weight on the scales before adding that number to your paperwork – this is your responsibility
- 20kg rule will be in use (if you are unsure what this means check with your Coach or complete your TO training to learn more)
- Lifters who fail to make weight are unable to participate in any capacity at the event
- Only currently accredited AWF Coaches along with their supervised support personnel are permitted in the warm-up and competition field-of-play area.
