16/06/2025, Bribie Island Weightlifting Club welcomed Queensland Premier David Crisafulli and Minister for Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games Tim Mander, for a visit and discussion around the previously announced funding for our new Bribie Island Weightlifting facility.
This investment will help us deliver accessible strength and movement programs to the broader community while also hosting premier competitions for the QLD weightlifting community in this new space.

National Masters reminder about eligibility to enter:
Usually to compete at National Masters you need to have either competed at State Masters or registered for an exemption. However this year the dates of the Nationals were pushed out till October.
Because of this we are allowing lifters to enter Nationals if they have competed in an event in the qualifying period (1 July 2024 and 1 August 2025) and requiring them to pay an additional $75 levy on top of the entry fee (the same fee State competitors and those applying for exemptions paid). You will find more information about the National Masters here: National Masters information
