The Emerging Athlete Pathways program (EAP) supports eligible young athletes, coaches and officials aged 10-18 years to progress on a development pathway by providing financial assistance to help alleviate the costs associated with attending state, national and international events.
Important Information:
- We encourage participants to apply as soon as the eligible events are listed on the website and have the correct documentation ready. Applications for each event may take up to 8 weeks to process.
- Please note that in the anticipated event that the EAP budget is exhausted; as detailed in the Funding Terms and Conditions, the Department may close this program for applications early and inform any impacted applicants of the budget exhaustion, applications are assessed in order of submission.
- Late applications will not be accepted.
The QWA will be adding the State U12/U15 & Youth Championships to be held in Nambour 26-28 June 2026 to the approved events list, and as the international event the Oceania Junior and Youth Championships in Samoa. When the next events are called for the National event will be the AWF National U15 & Youth Championships in Melbourne
