QWA Youth Development - Squad Training Session

All QWA Youth Athletes (ages 13-17) are invited to attend the QWA Youth Development Squad Training Session.

Location: Rebels Weightlifting Club, Capalaba
17 Neumann Road, Capalaba (Inside Rebuild Gym)
Ages: 12+
Cost: FREE

Amie Farmer (nee Cox)

Amie is the Head Dietitian and Owner of Target Nutrition.

Amie fell in love with learning how to adapt her nutrition to support exercise. She has competition experience in Powerlifting, CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting, and understands the important role nutrition plays in supporting training, competition performance and recovery. 

It is her greatest joy teaching her clients how to eat the right food at the right time in order to increase their quality of life, energy levels and performance. It is not just all about body composition changes. She wants the best for her clients, for them to feel like they can train to their highest capacity and feel that they have the energy to do so.

Scott Robinson

Having competed and coached many sports and been involved with so many talented people at all levels, I have gained a unique perspective of athletes from the very beginning of an athlete learning technique, to the seasoned professional with decades of experience. Everyone has a story and you can learn from everyone. Olympic weightlifting is a sport that helps every other sport become faster, stronger and more powerful. Once you can do it, you have it for life.

  • AWF L3 Coach
  • Level 2 athletics sprints, throws, middle distance. (Level 1, 1997, Level 2, 2014)
  • Level 2 Cycling. Track and road cycling. (2008)
  • S+C Level 2 (2003)
  • Coaching WL since 1998. 
  • Was Development Officer for the QWA for 5 years. 1998-2003. 
  • TID wth over 17,000 kids.

Qld Academy of Sport, inc hockey, volleyball, athletics, cycling, rowing, boxing, softball. Brisbane Lions AFL 1998-2003, Qld Reds Rugby Union 2012-2015, UQ rowing 2014, UQ athletics 2013-2015, Melb Victory Football club 2015/16, Brisbane Broncos 2014/15, Western Force Rugby Club 2006/7, NSW Rugby League Origin 2005/6, Sydney Roosters Rugby League 2005/6.
