GOVERNANCE

There has been some movement in the membership of the QWA Management Committee. After a public EOI the vacancies have now been filled to complete the governance term to the next AGM in June.

New MC

James Mildren – President

Miles Wydall – Vice President

Jan Greyling – Treasurer

Liam Saxby – Secretary

Jacqui Kami – Ordinary member

Rory Scott – Ordinary member

Liam Janse van Rensburg – Ordinary member

Fraser Harrison – AAG Chair

Of note it has been recognised that there is a need for more females to fill positions leading into the next governance term to achieve an improved better gender balance.

The Team Staff Selection policies for 2026 are now live, after an initial release at the QWA Planning Day. Of note there is no longer the position of Personal Coach available.

COACHING COURSE SUBSIDIES

The endorsement and approval of subsidies for current QWA members at the time of submission of applications has now been finalised.

Funding from the Queensland Government has enabled the QWA to offer 10 x 25% subsidies. And we sincerely thank the AWF for their 4 x 50% subsidised course places.
