I would like to thank the athletes and their coaches for their professional attitude in the lead up to and during the event – they were a pleasure to work with.

On the teams we were very close to taking the Senior Men’s Shield from NSW 195 to 190 and we would have come second in the Senior Women’s Shield if we had not had some late withdrawals. Our Junior Teams were too small to really contest the Junior Shields. I would like to firstly thank my fellow Team Coach Callum Hannay for his hard work, professionalism and humour during the whole campaign and first time Team Leaders Jim and Gab for working so tirelessly for the Team.

I would also like to thank the wonderful Personal Team coaches – many who stepped up at very short notice to fill coaching slots when others were unable to attend.

Althea Mackie, Coral Quinell, Scott Robinson and Nya Hayman were the Qld Technical Officials at the event (self-funded).

And lastly and not least I would like to thank the QWA for the funding support provided by the Queensland Government and the AWF and VWA for hosting a great 4-day event.
