- Are you 30 or turning 30 in 2026 or older
- Have you lifted in a QWA/AWF event in the period 3 May 2025 – 7th March 2026
- Can you comply with starting weight stipulation of 21kg for women and 26kg for men
- You must register to compete at the State Masters Championships in Bundaberg 10-12th April 2026 (Friday 10th will only be utilised if competition entry numbers on the closing date of 8th March necessitate this) OR apply and pay for an exemption – form here: Request an Exemption – Queensland Weightlifting, once approved you will need to register online for the event just as if you were competing and pay the fee. Entries close 8th March COMPETITION
- Entries to the National Masters will be online, and entries are due to close 19 April 2026
- Queensland athletes must wear a Queensland Representative lifting suit. Check the QWA shop for stock supplies and order yours now to ensure you are prepared. Athletes need either a QWA T-shirt or Jacket as part of their lifting kit. No t-shirts with club logos are permitted at the presentation and medal ceremonies. Find these items here: Queensland Weightlifting

We urge you to do your bit to keep our sport clean!
- The QWA will organise for Team Support Personnel to assist you with your warm-up and competition experience on the day. Only approved coaches are permitted in the competition field of play area
- The QWA will distribute competition information through to you via direct email and the QWA Masters Facebook group in preparation for the event
- QWA Squad training will be scheduled for approximately 2 weeks before the National event date
- Travel and accommodation arrangements for athletes is the responsibility of individual athletes. If you would like to organise these to match in with other Queensland lifters you can use the QWA Masters Facebook page to facilitate this
- Remember when you make your travel arrangement to allow for at least one session of volunteering to assist the host State in the running of the event
