Current QWA membership required by all QWA Coaches

QWA Financial Membership  Requirements for Coach's

The QWA Management Committee acknowledges that coaches play an important role in advancing weightlifting throughout Queensland and therefore should be protected at all times.

Coaches regularly take on many responsibilities to look after the needs of club members during training and competition. Coaches offer advice, direction and inspiration within their respective coaching roles. Unfortunately, as we all aware, adverse situations can crop up unexpectedly that may negatively affect coaches, the athletes they are supporting and the venues they are working in.

Public Liability insurance covers cases of  damage to a third party or property.

Professional Indemnity covers cases where any advice, tuition or instruction to others is questioned.

Personal Accident will cover cases where accidents occur during training or competition activities.

QWA financial membership and recognised accreditation provides coaches, athletes , technical officials and administrators with protection through its inclusive insurance cover. As such, ALL coaches operating within QWA affiliated clubs nurturing QWA athlete members MUST BE financial members of the QWA.

Coaches who are NOT financial members of the QWA pose a risk to the QWA and its members and as a consequence WILL NOT BE  allowed to attend to any coaching duties during any future AWF calendar events effective immediately.
