How and Why Did You Start Weightlifting?
I started weightlifting at St Laurence's College. The weightlifting club had just started up at school and my mate and I went down to see what weightlifting was and decided to give it a go. After training for about 6 months I then moved my training over to Cougars under the watchful eyes of Miles Wydall and have been there ever since.

Best Moment In The Sport?
Representing Australia at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, winning the silver medal and breaking the Commonwealth Games clean and jerk record in front of my whole family.

Worst Moment In The Sport?
Bombing at the Age Group Challenge on 200kg clean and jerk.

Person You Most Admire in Weightlifting?
People who are passionate about the sport and want to see it succeed.

Favourite Exercise?
Shrugs

Snatch Squat and Snatch Balance

Favourite Venue To Compete?
To date it would have to be the 2006 Commonwealth Games Venue, the atmosphere was electrifying, probably something that I will never experience again.

How many hours do you train per week?
Approximately 10-15 hours

Four sisters Belinda, Emma, Louise and Simone and one brother Justin, all older.

Love listening to Triple J but some of my favourite bands are Muse, Little Birdy, The Living End, The Doves, Yeah Yeah Yeahs...

Do You Compete In Other Sports?
Not any more just weightlifting now. What other sport would you want to compete in?

What Do You Do When Not Training To Relax/Favourite Pastime?
Listen to music and have a quiet beer with mates.

Why?
It a nice break from training and you can forget about the stresses of life.
