How and Why Did You Start Weightlifting?
I started in September 94 when QLD W/Ling ran some TID programs through Capalaba high school. I was a competitive little grade eighter keen and eager so I went along to start training.

Best Moment In The Sport?

Definitely my 107.5 CN & JK at 2000 Olympics. I really needed to dig deep and I pulled it off under the most stressful conditions I've ever experienced.

Worst Moment In The Sport?
I wouldn't say there was a "worst" moment just hard and frustrating times such as injury, low motivation, and times when you feel like you're taking 1 step forward then 2 steps back. But those times are just there to make a personal best on the platform feel better.

Person You Most Admire in Weightlifting?
I admire Mike for his dedication to the sport and tireless efforts. I also admire Michelle Kettner for her quiet guts and determination that makes a lot of noise on the platform.

Favourite Exercise?
Varies depending on my strengths during a program. At the moment I'd have to say power cleans and cleans as they feel really fluent.

Least Favourite Exercise?
Squats at the moment

Favourite Venue To Compete?
I love competing at the state sports complex in Sydney. I always seem to go well there and I also hold fond memories of Olympic selection at that venue. I also like competing at the cougars as all my friends are there and it's a lot of fun.

How many hours do you train per week?
From 10- 16 depending on whether I am double day training.

Brothers/Sisters, How Many?
1 brother Alex (11 yrs old) and the next Bill Gates

Single/Married?
Not single and not married.

Favourite Music?
Good drinking music

Favourite Movie?
Not sure

Favourite Food ?
McDonalds Chocolate fudge sundae with fries in it!!!

Favourite Book?
I enjoy reading a lot of Psychological/ Forensic crime novels. (eg Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson). I also like Bryce Courtney as I think he creates some very thought provoking stories.

Do You Compete In Other Sports?
Not any more, I used to be very competitive in athletics, softball, volley ball, basket ball and cross country- Those were back in my aerobic days.

What Do You Do When Not Training To Relax/Favourite Pastime?
When I'm not training I'm at uni studying a science degree in Biochemistry but to relax I like to Sleep and watch TV or read.

Why?
I find there is very little physical energy required to do the above relaxation activities and that works for me
